Paper 1 (8461/1F and 8461/1H) of the AQA GCSE Biology course: a 1 hour 45 minute written exam worth 100 marks (50% of the qualification) on topic 4.1 cell biology, topic 4.2 organisation, topic 4.3 infection and response and topic 4.4 bioenergetics. The same four topics make up Biology Paper 1 of AQA Combined Science: Trilogy, so a lesson only the separate Biology course teaches is tagged Separate only, and a lesson only the Higher tier sets is tagged Higher.
